Second Session (May 11, 2012 @ 7:00pm): “Oshun” (Facilitators: Carlos Gardo (Babalawo), Julio Rigores (Practioner of Elegua), Consuelo Herrera (Afro-Cuban Dance Instructor and Practioner of Oshun) and Reimundo Sosa (Afro-Cuban Percussion Instructor and Practioner of Oshun). Special Event for Mother’s Day.

Third Session (May17, 2012 @ 7:00pm): Book Club: “The Accidental Santera by Irete Lazo” (Facilitator: Tricia Thomas, Teacher). (Books and discussion questions available at Áccents on Eglinton Bookstore)

Fourth Session (May 25, 2012 @ 7:00pm): Book-Brindis (Wine & Cheese Event): El Lirio del Prado by Reynaldo Fernández Pavón (This session will be held at Gélico Gallery located at 264A Christie St (Christie and Dupont), phone: 647-774-6262)

LULAWORLD presents two concerts by two international guests — Cuban jazz greats Alain Perez and Ignacio Berroa. At 8pm, Perez, one of the most in demand Cuban bassists performing and recording today is joined by two stellar Toronto based musicians – Robi Botos on piano and Mario Allende on percussion. Our second concert features Cuban jazz legend Ignacio Berroa with our own local treasures Hilario Duran (piano), Roberto Occhipinti (bass) and Luis Deniz (sax).
