On Sunday November 2nd, DJ Billy Bryans begins hosting the all new Cuban Sundays at Babaluu. The night is dedicated to all the casineros, timberos and others who have been asking for a night of Cuban salsa, timba and reggaeton.

Sarita Leyva will be teaching a Rueda de Casino class from 9 to 10pm.

Mark your calendars, the opening night party takes place on Sunday November 2nd.

Soul Drums and Rumberos Productions present Cuban percussion legend Changuito with special guests Joaquin Hidalgo, David Virelles, Chendy Leon Jr and the Toronto Cuban All-Stars. The night kicks off with a presentation by Soul Drums on this year's Soul Drum May 2009 retreat and cultural immersion in Cuba.

‘Changuito’ Quintana is one of the living legends of modern Cuban music, the man considered most responsible for the polyrhythmic foundation of Cuban salsa and timba. Changuito was the original drummer for Los Van Van who has influenced a whole generation of drummers from all over the world.

Also featured on the bill for the evening are Salsa On Six and dj Billy Bryans

 One of our passions at cubaintoronto.com is live music. I truly believe that it is our ultimate duty to support live salsa and other local and international music in the city.

 Organizing a big latin concert is a tremendous gamble and promoters get no support from the mainstream media. In the case of Cuban style concerts, a sponsorship is rare . For the audience it is simply one night out  :10pm to 2am ! For the organizers it represents months of preparation and thought.  Helping with the organization of Son de Cali was an amazing experience. They truly are an excellent salsa band with extremely  professional musicians who played for 2hours and 40mn straight . I am uploading a video from Salsato.com ( Thanks Mike) and will be uploading more.  The Havana Cultura nights with Telmary and Kumar were equally great on the same week-end and VIEUX FARKA TOURE from MALI Tuesday SEPT 30 was fantastic. I will upload photoalbums for all !

Bamboleo sports one of the sexiest most entertaining front -women in the business TANIA ! Remember we got a sneak peak of what they can do at the Charanga Habanera concert last November and they played at Six Degrees last April . This will be their night !
