Salsa on St. Clair is mainly a display showcase for L.A. style “acrobatic dancing”… but there will be some Cuban sabor to be found:

Main stage Saturday, July 11th, 2009
6:15-7:00 pm     Alberto Alberto
7:20-8:05 pm     Alberto Alberto
8:25-9:10 pm     Roberto Linares Brown
9:30-10:30 pm     Roberto Linares Brown

Main stage Sunday, July 12th, 2009
3:45-4:30 pm     Havana Express featuring Rojitas
4:50-5:35 pm     Havana Express featuring Rojitas
5:55-6:40 pm     Son Aché
7:00-7:45 pm     Son Aché

Program here, looks like it’s “in progress” still.  Also, be alert to the possible impact of the city employee strike.

In some previous years, there has been a Cuban street rumba at St. Clair and Vaughan.  Many of the best Cuban musicans in town set up the tumbadoras… metales (horns), tres, bongos and a small amp or 2… on the street curb, and some of the finest moments of the year ensue.  Whether that will happen this year, can’t say for sure… but it might be worth checking.
